I love how creepy and gothic those underground terminals are in D.C. There’s just something spooky and cavelike about them, yet upon a closer look, you realize great care has been taken to create the atmosphere. The walls are textured to cast those shadows. Lights are recessed into the railing to give it that glow. Interesting…
Interesting thought.. I wonder who is in charge of terminal design? I wonder if he was given explicit instructions… “Make it look like somewhere you would go to get mugged.”
