A long time ago, I made Speak and Be Spoken To. I never really explained to anyone what it was supposed to be.. I just put it up there, told my friends to go look at it, and bought a little $10 text ad on Metafilter.
In over a year, it has collected more than 600 quotes from over 100 people. Most people still don’t seem to be able to figure it out. There’s really nothing to figure out. There are two things you can do: you can Speak, or you can Be Spoken To.

I love the rings. I especially like the triangular shape created by the grouping of rings with the circle of the mug. It’s interesting to see a triangle created by circles! But, the best part about this image is the title. The image takes on so much more depth when viewed in conjunction with the title. Good stuff.
